Eight years ago I published the following tftd (dates adjusted).

IMPORTANT VOTING DAY INFORMATION

Due to an anticipated voter turnout much larger than originally
expected, the polling facilities may not be able to handle the
load all at once. Therefore, Republicans are requested to
vote on Tuesday, November 4, and Democrats, Independents,
Green and Reform Party members, etc on Wednesday, November 5.

Please pass this message along and help us to make sure
that nobody gets left out.

tftd took some heat for this 'thought' as it might have kept some
people from going to vote. My response is that if they don't know
even what day to vote then perhaps it would be better if they didn't.
