I. SMALL GROUP

What can you do to contribute to the flock?
1) Participate (preparation).
2) Pray for one another.
3) To open up to one another; transparency -- encouragement.
4) Accountability
5) Children's flock, instead of them playing around.
6) Food; good snacks.

In what area of spiritual growth you want to improve this year?
- grow in prayer; shepherd your family; biblical leadership.
- Homeschooling; summer missions; open to God's call.
- Biblical knowledge -- CBI.

Tell quirky about you that we don't know.

II. GENESIS REVIEW

CREATION
- In creation, we see God's attributes: eternality; creator, all powerful; omnipotent; just; holy.
- Genesis 1: How would you defend the 6-day creation -- using proper hermeneutics -- literal days; the word in Hebrew means literal day.
- Other positions: science; wrong presupposition.
FALL
- Fall: sin takes root in our mind and heart.
- Promise seed - fulfilled in Christ. Romans 5:14
- Curse: women: pain in childbirth; desire to rebel.
- Curse: men: sweat; to be lazy.
- Physical death (sin) -> spiritual birth. (Christ)
CAIN AND ABEL
- Cain and Abel: firstborn; first murder; first vengeance / jealousy; prototype of a doomed person / unsaved.
- Lack of worship / unacceptable worship. (Jude, 1 John) - self righteousness; self worship.
FLOOD
- Noah: God's faithfulness; trusting in the Lord; God's election.
- Destruction of men; Ark - deliverance.
- God's attribute: Justice (his wrath); 1 Peter 3:18. flood/ark ~ baptism.
